Suzie told Porcy that it would be ok, but she would have to limit him to five friends coming and she also would have to limit the size he could invite. Some of the animals just would not fit in her house. Porcy understood and agreed to this.
While Suzie was working, Porcy went and invited some of his new friends to come and have a sleep over at Suzie's house. He explained to others that they could come another time. To bear, ostrich, buffalo and his other bigger friends, he was honest and told them about the size problem. They understood, but still they were very disappointed. Now Porcy may act big and all puffed up, but inside all that puffing is a very wonderful heart. He knew how disappointed some of his friends were. So he spent the rest of the day, reading them stories and telling them so many jokes, all you could hear on the compound was the chuckling of the animals. He made each one of them feel so very special because he spent time with them that day.
For the sleep over Porcy invited the albino raccoon twins. They were glad to get out for awhile. They really get tired of people pointing out how very different they are. Only one of the fishers could make it. Porcy invited little fawn too. She is always sucking on Suzie's knuckles for some reason, Porcy thought this was cute. And because Suzie asked him too he invited rabbit

When they got to Suzie's house, Porcy and his friends all played outside. They played baseball, basketball, football, volleyball and threw Frisbees. They had so much fun and completely wore themselves out!
Suzie was inside the house smiling, peeking outside now and then at their playing and merriment. She loved the sights and the sounds of a full yard and house again.
When it became dark Porcy and his friends all came inside. They had something to eat for dinner, and then went into the guestroom for TV watching, popcorn and nut eating and to have some fun! Suzie chuckled to herself when twice she told them to stop jumping on the bed. She knew they were doing it a lot, and really wanted them to have fun. And part of the fun, of jumping on the bed, was when you got caught!
Porcy's with his sensitivity and forethought ask Suzie if he could borrow, for the night, one of the kitty litter pans. Suzie was a little confused about this for she knew Porcy was use to living in a house and knew all customs and manners required. When she asked Porcy about this he said, "Suzie, it is for my friends, some are not use to living like me, and I don't want anyone to be embarrassed." Suzie's heart smiled at the consideration shown by her very special porcupine friend. She went into her den and continued to work on a funny surprise for a friend.
While Suzie was working every once in awhile, 12 little critter eyes, would be sneaking in. peeking at what she was doing, snickering and then scampering out! Suzie laughed to herself when she heard Porcy trying to quietly whisper to his friend, "Yep that is Suzie, a little crazy sometimes but I love her anyway." Soon chuckling and smiling she went off to bed, knowing that all the little friends in the guestroom would be all right for Porcy was a very responsible Porcupine.
